About

"Americonscious Campfire Folk"

That's our way of putting it

MoonCats have kept the fun in North Dakota’s music scene for all ages since 2018.  After countless shows and several tours across the region and country, this tuned-in trio prides itself on singalong originals and the occasional cover. Using a mix of American roots instruments, Slinger, Danny, and Sky paint a picture of the plains and sing of the times. They are a fiery and fuzzy 3 piece stomping up acoustic roots remedies with a meaningful message. A soul filled sound that can tap into the oldest hickory on the farm and a youthful presence that will get the youngest toe tappers a talking! Come and enjoy new and old time music on banjo, washboard, upright bass, mandolin, guitar, harmonica, and more LIVE with the MoonCats!

MoonCats have released Self Titled “MoonCats” (2018) and “Hot Tea (2021), both albums were self produced in North Dakota, and they are both mastered by Tyler Pilot (Red Dot Recording, Mandan, North Dakota). They also continue to release new music online you can stream where you listen to music. Exploring a mix of songwriting and instrumentation, MoonCats captivate all audiences with each and every song! Now based out of Pick City, North Dakota, the cats have performed in 9 states and have shared bills with Pert Near Sandstone, Henhouse Prowlers, G. Love and Special Sauce, Jon Wayne and the Pain, Ben Suchy, Art Rude, Gypsyfoot and many more!

Hometown dudes playing big time original folk. Nicest group of guys you’ll ever meet. The group itself has a ton of style. This super group is going places.”
